      Katrina Gorman

      Biography

Katrina Gorman was born in the Midwest; from Fort Wayne, Indiana. She began drawing at an early age to accompany her short stories. After attending Northrup High School where she received art awards and an art scholarship, she decided instead to obtain a degree in Child Development and taught Early Childhood Education. Later on after working in insurance 10 years, a tragic house fire gave her the inspiration to do what she loved, art. Katrina’s art can best be described as stories told in fabric where a moment is captured along side nature’s beauty. She is also well versed in multiple mediums and creates original art for private collectors.

        History of Boerne Art Waddle

Art Waddle is Boerne’s premier community art show and sale. It’s a festive outdoor event held in downtown Boerne, TX.

The Art Waddle is part of Boerne’s commitment to the arts. It’s also part of the trend toward fun, informal celebration of painting, sculpture, glassworks, and more. People stroll Main Street at their own pace, chatting with artists, making friends and enjoying the day, perhaps partaking of a refreshment offered by one of the breweries or restaurants.

The Waddle was created in the “Flats,” Boerne’s funkiest neighborhood. Over the last decade the Art Waddle’s growth and success has shifted the location of the event to the downtown historical shopping district.

It’s a place for the creative side of Boerne.
Named after the ducks that populate Boerne’s Cibolo Creek, the Art Waddle is organized by friends of the arts and Events Off Main. All proceeds are donated to the Cibolo Center for Conservation for Summer Art Camp Scholarships. There is no admission fee to the Waddle. Waddlers can purchase $5 wristbands at one of the 2 Waddle Stop Information Booths that offer significant discounts for purchases of art, food, beverage and other savings at participating merchants.
